Amandeep Singh, Business Head- South Asia, Avery Dennison (India) Pvt Ltd: The biggest end-users for products like reflective tapes are the government agencies. We received visitors from infrastructure companies, PWD, NHAI and other government agencies.
Anuresh Sharma, COO-Highway Traffic Management Systems, Arya Omnitalk Wireless Solutions: We are mainly into three products: walkie-talkie service; mobile data applications where we provide end-to-end solutions on GSM / GPRS technologies for multiple verticals and Automatic Toll Collection & Highway Traffic Management Systems for highway concessionaries. This is our second time at the Show and I think it has been a success. There were some new exhibitors this time showing new products and the footfall was quite good, considering that this Show is for a niche audience. There were customers to whom we could sell right away and some are business prospects too. We had visitors from Gammon India, Larsen & Toubro and IHMCL among others.
We are happy that at this Show we won an order from IHMCL for one of the zones. We will be implementing 25 toll plazas and around 100 toll lanes in the eastern part of the country for publicly funded toll projects for IHMCL. At TrafficInfraTech Expo we also launched our new product non-intrusive Infrared side profile based Automatic Vehicle Classification System.
Abhay Kumar, National Sales Manager, Sick India Pvt Ltd: Sick has been in India since 2005 and the traffic industry is one of the sectors where we provide a lot of solutions. This is the second time we participated at the Show and noticed more technology companies and more awareness among visitors of the latest developments and hence more expectations too. We got to meet a lot of system integrators and OEMs. However we would like to meet more authorities from NHAI in the Show with whom we can discuss about the new technologies that we plan to introduce in India. I can see that with the passage of time, more companies are participating in the Show and it has acquired a global look. There is a lot of scope for new technologies because we do not even have the kind of advanced technologies that is already there in Southeast Asia. Our intention was to demonstrate new technologies in different areas of safety and create awareness among the visitors. We were glad to see the level of interest among the visitors in these technologies.
Bharat Modi, Managing Director, Modi Measurement Systems Pvt Ltd: We were looking forward to meet traffic police, officials from PWD department and experts from infrastructure companies to visit our stall and understand about our products & services thoroughly. We found visitors very much focused on what they wanted.
Sai Kumar, Assisstant Manager- Business Development, Prama Hikvision India Pvt Ltd: It was a very good expo; there has been a lot of participants who showed their interest in our products and services. Our surveillance solution saw enquiries coming from the Police; traffic departments, Metrorail, toll plazas looking for security cameras & ANPR and infrastructure companies. There were also exhibitors who showed interest in our surveillance solutions and technologies. We were the only one who showcased live demonstration of surveillance solutions which is relevant for transportation. In short, everyone who visited our stall was our prospective clients. Overall the Expo was very well managed.
