Masoom Ahmed, Business Development, Ahmed Contractor: TrafficInfraTech offered a great avenue to learn about the upcoming developments and for meeting relevant people. The show gave a good exposure to small contractors like us to expand our area of operations.
Abhishek Sharma, Manager-Toll Operations, HCC Infrastructure Co. Ltd: We have many road projects and one of them is the Dharampur-Farrakkha project in West Bengal. There are four Toll plazas; two are operational and two are in pipeline. We wanted solutions in Electronic Toll Management Systems especially, weighin- motion, RFID, Highway Security and HTMS and found them from Rajdeep, Avantech, Ashbee and many more. It was a good platform to meet the vendors, solution providers and even the end-users.
Ajit Kumar Sinha, HTMS/Toll Expert, Sai Consulting Engineers Pvt Ltd: Almost every exhibitor had a unique product on display. As we are concessionaires, the Expo was extremely relevant for us and we plan to keep coming back to future TrafficInfraTech Shows.
Payal Batra, General Manager- Security, India Tourism Development Corporation: ITDC runs hotels, restaurants at various places for tourists, besides providing transport facilities. This was my first visit to TrafficInfraTech, and found the Show quite informative. We came looking for solutions in parking management and security. And I must admit, we were glad to find some of the latest technology in ANPR, CCTV cameras and boom barriers.
Abhishek Bansal, Executive Director, Pacific Malls: TrafficInfraTech 2014 was a great knowledge sharing platform bringing together traffic experts from India and abroad. The exhibition helped me in analyzing how I could better manage parking infrastructure at our centers. I wish the organisers all the best for future show.
Exhibitors’ takeaway
Harpreet Singh Sehgal, Vice President-Business Development, Rosemerta Technologies Limited: Our company is into road safety products, Speed limiters, Vehicle tracking Systems, High security plates and Smart cards. The government now is more conscious and is encouraging safety associated products for traffic. Thus, we feel companies like us have a larger role to play. Platforms like this help customers and government agencies to interact with the manufacturing companies. It also enhances B2B and B2C relationship building.
Sri Krishnan V, Vice President- Engineering, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Limited: I think shows like TrafficInfraTech are important to bring various players together. People from various sectors – automotive suppliers, government agencies, Delhi Traffic police, companies dealing in mapping and parking solution providers all were able to learn from each other, collaborate and network.
I hope that the Expo grows much bigger in future.
Sanjay Katyal, Senior Manager, Control Room Solutions Division, Barco Electronic Systems Pvt Ltd: We showcased large scale visualisation solutions for traffic applications at the Show. The products included large screen 2×2 rear position & LCD video walls. Also on display were our latest wireless and collaboration solutions. We are participating for the second time at the Show and the response this year has been really good. This Show gives us an opportunity to bring our products to our core market which is the traffic sector. What is more, with the government’s focus on the highways sector, the market potential for visualisation products has grown and many visitors at the Show were government agencies. Our solutions are a part of Highway Traffic Management Systems and City Traffic Centres which are offered by large system integrators. There were many such players at the Show with whom we had the opportunity to interact. Also, we are in promising discussions with some international system integrators whom we met here.
