Big Show, Big Business

Amit Gupta, Chief Marketing Officer, Rajdeep Info Techno Pvt Ltd: This year apart from our regular automatic vehicle classifiers, we have also exhibited flap barriers, turnstiles and parking barriers. We have been participating in Trafficinfratech exhibition for the past 3 years and the response has always been very good. This year the quality of the visitors was even better. We have always gained by participating in the expo and we plan to continue the same.

Iqbal Singh Jagdeva, Managing Director, Turbo Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd: TrafficInfraTech managed to get everyone on a single platform, be it systems, technology or equipment providers. Our products were well received and even bought by the police departments. Expos like this helps in creating awareness about the new systems and we are quite happy with the response.

Nimish K. Sonawala, Managing Director, Skidata (India) Pvt Ltd: Skidata India is a joint venture between Hinditron and Skidata AG. Our target audience include shopping centres, airports, stadiums, amusement parks etc. Shows like this are very useful for people who want to understand the latest technologies and improve their processes & offerings for their end customers. There was a lot of exchange of ideas between suppliers, vendors, companies and other stakeholders. We had quite a few visitors and had some interesting discussions. It would be good to have more private sector participation from segments such as airports and shopping centre associations.
Senthil Mariappan, CEO, Datacorp Traffic Private Limited:TrafficInfraTech Expo has been a great experience for us. We got around 50-60 good business leads which was a pleasant surprise. We are new to the Indian market and this was our first time at the Show. We were the only company at the Show which was exclusively into traffic surveys. Surveys are an important role in all facets of the traffic industry – right from planning to something like constructing a pedestrian crossing. The response that we got was tremendous. I congratulate the organisers for bringing in so many important government authorities at the Show, this being the most effective way to create awareness of the latest products and developments in the technologies in the industry. We got authorities from Urban Transport, Police department etc. Many traffic planners and architects visited our stall and were interested in our services. We had officials from the tolling sector who wanted us to do toll auditing.

V Eshwaran, Managing Director, Hill & Smith Infrastructure Products India Pvt Ltd: This Show has been very good because of the quality visitors. We have managed to generate good interest in PWD, NHAI and the private sector. We hope to convert some of the potential enquiries into orders in the coming months. The show is growing in a big way every year. We are optimistic of participating on a large scale in future. This year we have introduced a newly tested wirerope barrier which is a high level containment, that has received a lot of attention at the Show. With new government in place, emphasis on infrastructure sector has been very good. We are very optimistic about the market and the way it is growing.
