Delta Video Wall for Mumbai Metro

Delta Displays, a division of the Delta Group, has provided a high-end Video Wall solution to the Operations Control Centre (OCC) of Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd. MMOPL has invested in Delta’s Lamp based video wall solution for its prestigious project in Mumbai. The DLP based rear projection lamp video wall offers crystal clear images, a controller capable of handling multiple inputs and Cube control software that provides precise information on the status of the video wall at any point of time.

The MMOPL Line 1 (Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar) features an advanced signalling system, including an automatic train protection system (ATPS) and automated signalling to control train movements. Signalling, CCTV monitoring, power monitoring and relay point monitoring, are all displayed on Delta’s Video wall.

The content viewed on Delta’s Video wall at OCC is divided into two portions. The upper portion of the Video wall displaying the dynamic status of each train, route and signal on a real-time basis while the lower portion display the status of the 25KV AC traction power supply on each section of the main line. Faults in the supply, if any, are noticed immediately through the Video wall and can be acted upon by the MMOPL operators.

Even though the metro trains will operate for only 18.5hrs, the operations would be monitored 24/7 on the video walls. Keeping in mind the importance of OCC, Delta has offered solution that has been designed to operate the Metro System in the safest manner and to deal with all kinds of emergencies.
