WIM Weighbridges

Ashbee Systems Pvt Ltd’s Model WIM is an axle weighbridge used for weighing vehicles while in motion. This is a very advanced axle weighbridge system which is designed to provide fast and accurate axle and gross weight information for all vehicle types – from light vans to the heaviest multi-axle trucks. This system weighs vehicles moving vehicles up to a speed of 15kmph.

To prevent damage to the roads, it is important to ensure that the vehicles are not overloaded. Governments in many countries are now aware of the tremendous reductions in road damage and accidents that can be achieved by vigorously enforcing overload detection. If the axle of the vehicle is overloaded it causes extensive wear and tear and damage to the road. It is therefore very important to weigh each axle. The moving vehicles are weighed while they pass over the scale installed on the road. Since vehicular movement need not be stopped in this process, weigh-in-motion system speeds up the weighing process. Gross Vehicle weight can be compared with the permitted weight in toll application software and next higher toll can be charged at pay axis. These systems are generally installed at border check posts, ports, toll plazas, entry point for bridges, tunnels and underpasses.
