Vadodara flyover to get solar panel dome

In a unique project, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation will construct a dome on a Akota-Dandia Bazaar flyover, with solar panels on its roof that can generate power and light up street lamps. The city civic body will construct the dome with sit-outs and railings on a stretch of the flyover which will have solar panels on its roofs.

According to Municipal Commissioner HS Patel,VMC is perhaps be the first civic body in the country to set up of a dome on a flyover to generate solar energy. The flyover is about 2kms long and the dome will be about 280m long.
