As part of an MoU with Nashik Municipal Corporation, the Institute for the Transportation and Development Policy will accelerate sustainable transportation in the city by providing technical assistance, capacity building and policy support with the objective of transforming streets and strengthening public and inclusive transportation principles in city. Over the next five years, the collaboration will aim at improving the transport and traffic system, junctions, parking management, road designs and accessibility to pedestrians and cyclists. An active mobility policy is being prepared to guide these initiatives together with the participation of citizens and in coordination with traffic police, regional transport offices and other institutions.
