Diwakar Raote, Transport Minister, Goverment of Maharashtra, was the Chief Guest for the second day of the Expo. “I was very impressed with the technologies displayed at the Expo. I came across some good systems for the highways which will help in curtailing accidents. I saw the latest signal control system for regulation of traffic. Different technologies had different ideas and systems but all seemed very effective in controlling traffic. Many technologies displayed for road safety will be very helpful in bringing down the fatality on the roads. When I went to one stall, I liked the technology. Then I went to the stalls ahead, and liked those technologies better. So, there was a wide choice of technologies to choose from. Shows like these bring the latest technologies of the world to us. They are very important”.
Supported by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, the show had IL&FS (Transportation) and Elsamex Maintenance Services Ltd as Platinum Partners and Mass Trans, Mass Park, Kent, Logipix and Ador as Gold Partners. Tom Tom was the seminar partner. The sponsors were happy.
The exhibitors were happy as many of them were able to either finalise business associations or begin the initial interactions on future partnerships. Belgium’s Steur – Egghe found its distributor, ADOR, at the Expo. “We found a distributor, ADOR from Pune, for our product which is new for the Indian market. It will take care of all the areas in India for us”, said Erwin Smeyers, Export Manager and CCO, Stuer- Egghe”. He added, “Thank you for the effort you made and the opportunities you gave us. We will recommend your fair to companies in Europe”. Incidentally, Ador which bagged the Steur-Egghe contract, was a first time participant at the Expo. While this time he had taken a 81 square metre stall, Smeyers booked a 156 sqm stall for the show’s next edition that will take place in Hyderabad.
Similarly, Rasik Pansare of Get My Parking too got his partners at the Expo. He said, “We got partnerships and business from both, the visitors (government authorities, parking companies, builders) and other exhibitors (Parkeon, Efftronics, Secure Parking, etc.). Several enquiries we received have the potential to turn into business. In fact, a businessman from Ecuador who is into parking wants to use our technology in his country”. The company had introduced solutions that included digitising on-street parking without sensors and Enforcement App for Parking Policy Enforcers. AJS Scale International was happy that it received enquiries that can turn to business. Saurabh Singh, Engineer (ITS) told TrafficInfraTech, “We received enquiries regarding our survey products that have the potential to fructify in business. We had introduced a new version of our products which was very appreciated and we are expecting business for it”.
Many other exhibitors were happy with their tie-ups. While Aabmatica Technologies Pvt Ltd, which launched sensors for traffic/ corridor management and enforcement business at the Expo, was happy to have met partners under the roof, QuaLiX Information System LLP, entered into tie-ups with a few countries. Informed its Manish Hissaria, “We had business tie-ups with sellers as well as buyers at the Expo. They include Elka Germany, Efftronics and Sheetal Wireless, among others. We also met eminent visitors from the industry who were interested in our product and services, e.g. HCC, Tech Mahindra and others”. QuaLiX had introduced young generation TMS products along with its Emergency Response System.
Videonetics Technology Pvt Ltd received potential partners at the Expo. Said Avinash J Trivedi, the company’s VP – Business Development, “We got potential B2B partnership opportunities. We cannot disclose the names yet though. We also received project enquiries which have potential to turn into business”. Videonetics had introduced its integrated video computing platform at the Expo. “The integrated video computing platform provides state-of-the-art video management, video analytics and intelligent traffic management software systems and applications. We thank the Expo management for all their support extended to us during the Expo”.
