What started in 2009 as a vision for creating an interaction platform for solution providers and the stakeholders became a reality in 2011 when the first TrafficInfraTech Expo took place at Delhi. It was a humble beginning with barely 50 odd exhibitors spread over a net area of 1000sqmt. The first show saw exhibits that were predominantly safety related like barriers, cones and a few other technologies. However, the stakeholders indicated strongly that they were keen for TrafficInfraTech Expo to become a robust platform that also connected them with technology based solutions in ITS, Tolling, Telematics, Safety, Parking and Mass Transportation. In short, they all were, and are, in search of technologies which can lead smart mobility in India. The TrafficInfraTech Team has relentlessly been working for the past seven years researching, attending international shows related to traffic, and meeting international companies in an effort to understand the kind of solutions they can offer to meet Indian traffic snarls. At the same time, the team continuously meets the various decision makers in the domain of traffic in India to understand their exact needs. This has helped us to create a meaningful platform which has complete end-to-end solutions related to smart mobility.

TrafficInfraTech 2016 witnessed technologies from over 20 countries and was attended by the who’s who of the traffic industry including the representatives of the Indian government and the infrastructure industry. The TrafficInfraTech 2016 Show had over 200 national and international brands spread across an area of 3000sqmt. All this would not have been possible without the support of the traffic industry. My special thanks to all who came –exhibitors, partners, visitors, media, and of course, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, and other supporting bodies and associations.

TrafficInfratech 2017, to be held at Hyderabad from September 13 to 15, will be much bigger, with more emphasis on technology. We will also be having outdoor areas for demonstration. We look forward to welcoming all our readers and associates at TrafficInfraTech and ParkingInfraTech 2017.
