From June this year, the Indian Railways will launch a 20-coach luxury train on the Mumbai-Goa route that will have chair cars and executive class. Called Tejas Express, the train will have automatic doors, LCD screens, coffee vending machines, on-board WiFi, magazines and many other facilities. The train that will run at a speed of 130kmph will “showcase the future of train travel in India”, said Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister for Railways, recently.
