Tata Motors has launched an all new Tata Sumo Gold and the all new Range Rover Evoque. The former is equipped with the new technologically advanced BS4, 3.0L diesel CR4 engine. The powerful SUV is also available in turbo engine though. It has a softened suspension and is aimed mainly at the “young and progressive customer who is looking for a stylish, new-age vehicle that is powerful and takes on any terrain with ease”.
The all-new CR4 Turbo engine of 2956cc delivers an output of 85Ps @ 3000rpm and a torque of 250Nm @ 1000 to 2000rpm. It has a mileage of 14.7kmpl. The Di Turbo B S3 engine of 2956cc, on the other hand, generates an output of 70PS @ 3000rpm and a torque of 225Nm @ 1600 to 2000rpm. Its huge size and heft make it the largest sized diesel engine which delivers an impressive mileage of 14.3kmpl. It has been launched in four variants – GX, EX, LX & CX – along with a warranty of three years or 1,00,000kms, whichever is earlier.
Evoque, the new Range Rover, was launched from the Jaguar Land Rover Corporate Showroom in Mumbai. With its all-terrain technology, it is available in both – five door style (available as a diesel variant) and coupe body style (available as a petrol variant).
An eight inch high resolution Touch Screen, Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming, 11 speaker Meridian Audio Sound system, cruise control, Terrain Response, interior mood lighting, steering wheel paddle shifters and full-size panoramic glass sunroof are some of its highlights.
