Six-laning of Ahmedabad-Vadodara expressway

The project to convert the Ahmedabad-Vadodara highway into six lanes is likely to be completed in two years. IRB Infrastructure is executing the project on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis in BOT (Toll) mode of delivery. It will have six-lanes and two service lanes on each side. The special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the project, IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway Pvt. Ltd, has tied up project finance of ?3,300 crore. The total cost of the project is ?4,880 crore. Out of this, IRB Infrastructure will contribute ?1,580 crore with the remaining ?3,300 crore being funded through project finance. The project will convert the entire Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway into a six-lane highway.
