Second Ford Plant in Gujarat

Ford India will set up its second manufacturing plant at Sanand, Gujarat with an investment of र40,000 crore. The plant, to be located on a 400 acre plot with an ancillary park on an adjacent land, will have stamping, body, paint and assembly operations for vehicle manufacturing, plus machining and assembly operations for engine manufacturing. The vehicle manufacturing plant will have an initial annual capacity of 240,000 units whereas the engine manufacturing plant will manufacture 270,000 engines annually.
