Robot-powered parking in Miami

Boomerang Systems, the US based manufacturer of automated parking systems will provide a Robotic Valet Parking System for BrickelHouse, a high-end residential complex in Miami, Florida in the United States. The system uses robots to move vehicles in and out of parking spaces. The robots drive on concrete floors without using rails or tracks. The technology eliminates the need to build ramps, decreases the number of drive aisles required and allows cars to fit in half of the space needed by a conventional garage. The saved space is being used to build more residential units. As the cars are switched off before they enter the garage for parking carbon emission is reduced and less electricity is needed for ventilation and lighting. The technology is quite suitable for areas where parking space is precious and safety, convenience and safety are important considerations.
