Showcasing New Technologies

During the Expo, we displayed toll automation and advance traffic management solutions (ATMS). As far as ATMS is concerned, we have developed our own system and has implemented on around 980 km of National Highways. At present, we have bagged a contract from Safeway concessionnaire providing our solutions to 680 km length projects. We have implemented one of the best state-of-the-art technologies over there which are a vehicle incident detection system, vehicle actuated system, and travel time estimation system.

As a service provider, the basic challenge we face is direct relationship with government agencies. What is more important these days is how we can strike a conversation with government agencies so that we can showcase our advanced technologies.

We have been participating in this Expo for the last seven years, and we find it beneficial for us. We always showcase our new product because the Expo draws a qualitative footfall. Through this Expo, it is much easier for us to explain and educate visitors about our products.

Our solutions are typically utilised in a wide range of applications, and that’s why we participated in the Expo. We are one of the main suppliers for electronic toll collection system. More than 1,500 RFID readers installed on the entire continent. In India, we are providing RFID reader systems to read the FASTag. For us, the nationwide implementation of FASTag is a great opportunity and we are eager to be part of the story.

During the Expo, we met several high profiles dignitaries, tech-savvy customers and developed a new contact base for our business. So it’s an important exhibition for us because we not only developed new contacts but we also came across many new technologies on display. In fact, the combination of visitors was quite interesting representing different industries with specific requirements.

During the Expo, we displayed a license plate recognition system (LPRS) this includes both – fixed as well as mobile LPR system and a complete traffic management command control system.

As a system provider, we would like to educate the Indian market and make sure that the consumer understands the entire life cycle not only on papers but practically too. At present, we are working with 12 cities in the country, of which we have converted three cities, which has witnessed value in our entire ITMS including our mobile and fixed LPRS.

The expo has always been very focused on a specific vertical market which is why vendors like us look forward to be part of it. For us, there were many takeaways. However, in the next edition, we expect more decision makers taking part and a focused panel discussions on traffic management. We have received a lot of potential leads and we are evaluating the same.
