The Indian Railways has launched RailRadar, an online application to help passengers track real time movement of trains. RailRadar is an interactive map on Google that can be accessed through the railway website trainenquiry.com. The application has been developed by the Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS) in collaboration with RailYatri.com. About 6,500 trains can be tracked in real-time using the application. When passengers click on a train the map shows the current location of the train and the exact route with all the stoppages. Trains running on time are highlighted in blue whereas those running late are marked red. Users can also zoom in and out on the map to get more details on the trains. In case of an accident or unplanned activity, the site would provide users with an overview of the situation and also train status across the country
