Mumbai Mono Rail’s 19.54km long Chembur-Wadala-Jacob Circle Mono Rail corridor will be the world’s second longest Mono Rail corridor, coming second to only Japan’s Osaka Mono Rail corridor which is 23.8km long. It costs only one-fourth of the world’s longest monorail. While the Osaka corridor has 19 stations, Mumbai’s will have 18.
At present the second longest Mono Rail corridor is of Tokyo Mono Rail (16.9km) followed by Tama Mono Rail (16km) and Kuala Lumpur’s Star LRT (8.6km).
