Mobile App for Delhi Traffic Police

The Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung recently launched a mobile app and an upgraded website for the Delhi Traffic Police. The new app will help commuters to get instant traffic updates, traffic advisories, taxi and auto fares, reports about defective traffic signals and other traffic relevant information on their smartphones. This will enable the public to plan the journeys accordingly, in advance. Complaints can be lodged against TSR/Taxi drivers for misbehavior, refusal and overcharging.

Commuters can also access information about pit for vehicles towed away by Traffic Police when parked unauthorisedly or improperly. Direct calls could be made to Emergency Numbers. The new mobile application which is presently available on Android phones will soon be available on Windows and Apple Store.

The upgraded website includes detailed information such as prosecution statistics, congestion points, areas prone to water-logging, location/coding and phasing diagrams of traffic signals, accident prone areas, road safety activities, traffic engineering related issues, jurisdictional information, vital traffic corridors, information about traffic offices and officers etc.
