Luxury train Tejas Express to be equipped with Wifi, LCDs and automatic doors

The Indian Railways is set to launch a luxury train service called Tejas Express on the Mumbai-Goa route from June. Announced in the Rail Budget last year, the 20-coach train comprising of executive class and chair cars will come fitted with automatic doors, LCD screens, onboard wifi, coffee vending machines and magazines, among other features. “Luxury Mumbai -Goa train to hit the tracks from June. It will showcase the future of train travel in India, said, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.

Tejas Express will operate at the speed of 130 kmph and more. It will be offering on-board services such as entertainment, local cuisine, WiFi etc through one service provider for ensuring accountability and improved customer satisfaction.
