The Brhanmumbai Municipal Corporation has submitted a proposal to implement Bus Rapid Transport System (BRTS) on a pilot basis on the Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road.
The BRTS will run on the service road of the Link Road, acting as a separate route for public transport. The service road will be widened and improved using cement and concrete for the BRTS implementation. The widening, concretisation and other improvement work are estimated to cost Rs. 173 cr. The project, once started, is expected to be completed in 24 months.
