FASTag/UPI-based cashless parking at Kashmere Gate Station

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has recently introduced India’s first FASTag or UPI based parking facility at Kashmere Gate station on Tuesday. Similar facilities are expected to come up at Delhi Metro’s parking spaces across the city and the NCR. Payment through Fastag is expected to reduce the entry and payment time at the station that has a parking capacity for 174 two-wheelers and 55 four-wheelers. Dedicated intermediate Public Transport lanes for auto, taxi and e-rickshaws were also  got opened as part of Multi modal integration.

The station will also be getting a food court along with a   bus-terminal constructed by DMRC.  The aim is to make Kashmere Gate to a transportation   integrating metro connectivity on Line-1, Line-2 and Line-6 with parking facility, Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT), City Bus Service and taxi, auto, e-rickshaw services.
