“We are happy we participated”

CEO, Stalker

We are exhibiting at TrafficInfraTech Expo for the fifth year. Stalker is a world leader in speed detection equipment and we are presenting our range of speed detection equipment suitable for police, industrial sites such as mines with heavy trucks moving around, steel mills, oil refineries and other industrial applications. This year, one of our displays is the new speed camera Phodar, which can detect 32 cars on a road. Each car coming along the road shows the speed on top of it. This automatic system does away with the need of an officer at the spot. The police can see the image and can deal with it later on.

The three days of the Expo were very busy days for us. We had time to mix with the other exhibitors and we develop some collaboration.

Our products are focused on traffic enforcement systems and are already deployed in eight-ten cities in India. These systems are most needed in Indian conditions because of the high fatality rate on our roads. It was a very good platform to meet serious buyers for our product range.

We are participating in TrafficInfraTech Expo for the fourth time. The show is only getting better with every passing year. It is a very focused show and relevant to our domain, i.e., Road Safety.

We offer hardware and software solutions for traffic management, particularly evidential traffic enforcement solutions in the areas of speed enforcement with photos and videos, and breath analyzers. We also do crash labs which are advanced interceptors whereby evidence at the sight of accident is collected by using sophisticated software.

This is the fourth year we are exhibiting in the TrafficInfraTech Expo. We are very happy to be here as we see the progress in the industry year on year at the Expo. This year we are exhibiting our long range RFID readers, also with the reader modules and various other offerings of RFID. We also have the full range of entrance automation system like stainless steel half-height turnstiles, full-height turnstiles and flap barriers.

We would like to especially show our National Payment Corporation of India certified RFID tags which are long range UHF tags that can be put on the windshield of the vehicle. Based on the class of the vehicle, the tag will be encrypted and linked with the bank application. Today, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, IDFC Bank and SBI Bank are the four banks that have been qualified by NPCI and there are another 18 to 20 more banks which are in the process of certification. We also have a full range of integrated RFID readers and full range of automatic fare collection solutions.

We are also into the distribution of near field communication systems, especially for state and regional transport departments for applications like driving license and RC book. The old technology of contact chip can be replaced very easily by near field communications. This is more apt from the law enforcement point of view. Today, many driving licenses have a contact chip on them but we don’t see many policemen with handheld readers to read those driving licenses and carry out their duties. So, if we can upgrade these driving licenses with RFID technologies especially with near field communication, the law enforcement officers like the policemen can carry out the license transaction using a normal mobile phone, without jeopardizing security.

We see growth in this area in the future and are happy to be part of this market.
