We have been participating in TrafficInfraTech Expo almost every year since its inception. But this year has been particularly good in terms of response. We have met several authorities. It was very nice to meet different people and speak about solutions, specially when many initiatives are being taken in the country at present. These three days have been full of activities and it was very interesting for us.

CMS has been into traffic and transportation for more than 35 years. We have come up with a very novel solution to reduce congestion all over the city network — not just at one particular intersection, but in the entire zone — through a control room. This year, we have also launched two new products. One is Smart Parking in which people can see empty slots right on their mobile through an app and also pay for booking the slots, for both, indoor and on-road parking. Our second launch here is a smart garbage collection bin, a retrofit kind of a system which can be attached to any existing bin. It continuously monitors the garbage levels in the bins so that the information can be sent over to the municipal corporations or the garbage collection authorities and trips planned accordingly.

Crane Payment Innovations

This is the first time we are participating in India. A few of our customers are already participating as exhibitors in this show. Overall, our experience has been quite good and we will definitely look forward to the next show in Hyderabad.

Crane Payment Innovations, a manufacturer and supplier of currency management solutions, is a part of Crane Corporation, a US LOAC District company. We supply bank note valuators, recyclers and coin products for various segments. We have displayed bank note recycler at the expo which replaces the manual counter.

We displayed a vast product range especially suitable for Smart Cities projects. These include ANPR cameras and heavy-duty cameras which have a good range of 1km and also have thermal imaging system that can pan, tilt and also zoom. These camera are suitable for expressways and parking lots. We also have such cameras that can be mounted on top of the patrolling police vans and panned, tilted and zoomed from the command and control center. We have also launched a new product called ‘pan-a-view’ with has 16 lenses.

It was a wonderful opportunity to display our product range at TrafficInfraTech Expo. We had participated and got a very good response in the previous expos too.

ITS Planners & Engineers provide consultancy services and products in the area of Intelligent Transport Systems. Our highway traffic management system solution has been already deployed at many national highway stretches in India. We also have a traffic signal timing optimizer, Flow, specifically designed for Indian traffic conditions. Our third product is a safe pedestrian crossing that has detectors to sense pedestrians crossing the road. Our red-light violation detection system, licensed from C-DAC, can detect vehicles that jump the red lights and send challans automatically.

We have enjoyed participating in the TrafficInfraTech Expo. We got opportunity to interact with a number of vendors and potential partners across the industry. We also got to interact with a number of stakeholders from government organizations from across India and we look forward to taking part in the next edition of the show.
