Gevas has technologies for everything right from the traffic controller which runs the behavior of an intersection up to the center which steers the system that gathers information for the operator on the statistics of traffic controller or the VMS. Since the concept of Smart Cities is gaining ground in India, it is important to have an adaptive system that we have displayed that at the Expo. It will react and resort to proactive steering based on the information it receives.

We have collaborative ITS system on display too. It means that not only does the system inform through VMS in the classical approach, but also informs the drivers though the mobile or within their cars on the best ways to adopt in traffic. For instance, in green light we will tell them to adopt an optimal speed as that will be wiser. We are happy at the response we received at the expo.

Our company is a subsidiary of Hill & Smith, UK. We are into road safety products, and we have been promoting the wire rope safety barrier in India for the last four-five years. It is an alternative to conventional metal road crash barrier. The Government of India’s high concern is: how to make Indian road safer? Our product, flexible wire rope safety barrier, helps to reduce the fatalities on the road. Should the vehicle hit the fence, it safely retracts the vehicle back on track, and thereby reducing injuries and fatalities. Till date, we have installed 300kms of rope barriers in the country for various highway projects.

We will be happy to see TrafficInfraTech create a platform to speak about the operational side of things. We need to discuss how to get the solution implemented after it has been taken to the market. A platform to discuss day-to-day difficulties of the technology operators and the policy framework would be ideal.

We are participating for the first time and are very happy to be present at the TrafficInfraTech Expo. Our product has been very well accepted not only by system integrators but also by the operators. We are hoping to participate in next year’s expo too.
We have introduced the Toll Station Barriers for the Indian market at the expo. It has already been implemented by several system integrators in toll applications. The product with core components like control panels and gear box are made in Germany. This product can be implemented at MTC as well as in ETC lanes without changing any internal component. The barrier comes with highly advanced control panels and loop detectors.
