UK to see wave of electric car charge points

The United Kingdom is all set to get a slew of charging points for electric cars ? at hospital car parks, stations and streets across the country. Local authorities, NHS trusts and train operators will provide charging points on their properties and town & city streets as a result of the initiative ? funded by a ?37 million grant from the British government. The wining bids for the first round of funding have already been announced while bids have been invited from train operators, local authorities and the wider public sector for the second round of funding. The ?37 million is a part of the government?s ?400 million fund to promote use of ultra low emission vehicles.
