TrafficInfraTech Expo 2013 -Business,Knowledge Sharing,Networking

For Himanshu Arora, Director, H2 Safety India Pvt Ltd, the Show was amazing with a lot of exhibitors and good visitors. ?We deal in all kinds of road safety products, plus we are manufacturers of speed breakers, traffic cones, bollard lights and queue managers. We also import some solar safety products from Taiwan. This is the second edition of the Show that we have participated and it is really good and an amazing Show with a lot of exhibitors. Our products are used not only by the police and traffic police personnel, but also by individuals for their own road safety requirements. And in this we found TrafficInfraTech Expo to be quite helpful as we met many such customers here. The response has been quite good.?

Rajan Chhibber, Vice President,Marketing and Business Development, Chemito said, ?We have supplied ITS solutions to most of the government organizations, State Road Transport Undertakings and Rail projects. Many Rail projects such as monorail use a lot of our products. The response to our products was very good at the Show which was very well organised. This has been the second time we are exhibiting at TraffincInfraTech Expo. In fact, we got visitors from some new segments ? the Railways and the Ministry of Urban Development. Dr. Sudhir Krishna visited our stall with his entire team. DIMTS visited too, as also many others related to the transportation sector. The seminars were also very good, interactive and quite relevant to the traffic industry.?

Arbinda Sen, Noise Control division, Pyrotec India said, ?We showcased products from our noise control division in this exhibition. We are trying to reach out to architects, consultants, business houses and others who need noise control barriers. I found many visitors were not aware of noise barriers. During the Show we showcased a noise barrier called Reapor which can be used for roadside applications. There are many roads which experience a lot of noise from traffic and other causes, plus there are various residential buildings and residential complexes near the roads. So there is lot of potential use for noise barriers. In Delhi, the metro has come up in a big way as well.?

Arun Gumbar, Chief worker, Arkruti Solar was very happy with the response he got for his solar road safety products. ?These solar products have a vital advantage that they avoid digging of trenches on roads for laying of cables. TrafficInfraTech is doing a wonderful job. It is bringing the buyers, sellers and the middle level operating forces to interact with each other. The seminars and support staff have been very good. I thank TrafficInfraTech magazine for the support it has given to us. The response to our products at the Show has been tremendous. From what I can see, people are motivated but solar products are expensive. I feel the government has to be proactive and bring forth initiatives to encourage solar traffic products, just like it is being done in many other countries around the world.?

Wilfred Menezes, CEO, Omnitec Group said, ?We are based in the Middle East and operate in other countries also around the region. We specialise in high end parking solutions which are very useful for the Indian market. This is the third time we have exhibited at TrafficInfraTech Expo and we are quite convinced about the value of the Show. After the interactions during the seminar session on on-road parking, in which I was a presenter, I can say that the parking segment needs a complete facelift. During the Expo, I saw a lot of government authorities from the traffic field. So this is a very good job done by the organisers, considering that the elections in Delhi were also there, which made the government officials very busy.?

Pradeep Singh, Marketing Executive, BARCO was happy with the visitors he got. ?Barco is a Belgium based company which is basically into video displays, as also in the medical, defence, entertainment and the control room sectors. The product which we displayed at the Show was the 55? LCD video wall which is used basically for surveillance and monitoring purposes in order to capture traffic movement. It is a self standing video wall. What we showed was the concept of sharing, collaboration and networking. If you are sitting in one control room, you can share the content on this screen with any other control room which is at some other location. The Delhi police traffic control room uses our video wall. Also, DMRC uses Barco?s mid-level video wall. The response to our products at the Show was very good. The Delhi Traffic Police Commissioner came to our stall and he was happy to see the product.?

Surjeet Singh Gujral, WIM-in-Charge, Kistler Instruments India felt the Show provided his company a good foothold, ?Kistler Instruments is a sixty year old Swiss company that started its WIM business two years ago in India. We have state-of-the-art piezoelectric WIM sensors. The lane in which the sensor has to be installed is blocked only for a maximum of six hours. With a one-time cost, the lane is ready for weigh bridges. The Show has definitely helped showcase our products and provided us a good foothold. The best part is that we have been trying for sometime to increase our business In India and we feel the response that we have got at this Show will take us to new heights in our business.?

Renu Jasuja, Marketing Head, Ace Polymers said the company would take a bigger stall during the next Show, ?This was our second time at TrafficInfraTech Expo. We manufacture high impact resistant polymer safety products like traffic cones, safety bollards, speed bumps in plastics and rubberised speed breaker, solar product like studs etc. We got good response for our products in this exhibition including some potential new clients. We were able to interact with the Minister Oscar Fernandes, police officials and other government officials. Next time we would like to take a bigger stall and display more products.?

Mike Keni, Managing Director, Metro Count felt he got a good response from visitors, ?We have our offices in Australia where we do our research and development and we also have offices in London and Washington. We specialise in data loggers for measuring different type of traffic statistics such as types of vehicles, number of vehicles, the congestion etc. The response that we have got at the Show has been pretty good. This is our second time at TrafficInfraTech Expo. We have had fruitful interactions with contractors, consultant engineers, the traffic police including police commissioners and visitors from the areas of toll roads, toll plazas and traffic signalling. India is bit of a new frontier for us.?

Amit Ahuja, Duraline India Pvt Ltd said, ?We are a US based company which has been in India since 1997 and we are into telecom and electronic cabling ducts. We have provided STMS solutions for many projects like Yamuna expressway, Formula One, Mumbai – Pune expressway etc. This was our first time at TrafficInfraTech Expo. The Show was very good for us. We were actually looking for visitors from both private and public sector companies who deal in underground cables ? signalling cable or electrical cables and we got many such visitors.?

Rajiv Dhami, Managing Director, Rajkamal Barscans was happy with the feedback from visitors. ?We are basically into offering solutions of bar-coding and RFID for various applications such as warehouse management, inventory management, automobile tracking, vehicle identification and e-challan system. We are very happy to attend this Show; this is the second time we are participating. We had many visitors from the police department, ministers and other government officials with whom we had some good interaction. We made a connection with them, and the credit for that goes to you, the organizers. We got an important feedback that the technology and the products we have are good, but it has to be more cost-effective.?

Amarjit Singh, CEO, AJS Scale International said, ?AJS Scale was one of the first companies to introduce ITS related equipment in the country. Our clients have included prestigious institutes and organizations such as CRRI, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, NHAI and companies such as L&T & GVK. Our products include Automatic Traffic Counter Cum Classifier (ATCC), Weigh-in-Motion systems (WIM) and the latest toll collection & audit systems. I feel the government officials who visit the Show should take more interest in visiting all the stalls. They should be more aware of the latest technologies and trends in the industry. For that I think a show like TrafficInfraTech is very useful.?
