Dr Ganggopadhyay said, ?I am happy that the third edition of Trafficinfratech Expo and Seminar has returned to New Delhi. The development of adequate infrastructure for speedy and safe mobility is given priority by our government. The Show brings together traffic/transport solution providers from diverse areas of traffic management and infrastructure under one roof. CRRI is happy to be associated with this Expo from its very first edition.?
Visitors to the Show were astonished at the sheer number of latest products & solutions on display from vendors all over India and abroad, which they felt they had not witnessed in any other show. A major take away for visitors was the excellent quality of the seminars which they found to be very relevant and addressing the issues facing the traffic industry.
G.S Bali, the Minister for Transport and Technical Education, Himachal Pradesh praised the initiative of the organisers: ?An event like this is a good initiative which creates awareness of the problems in the traffic industry among the system providers, police officials, infrastructure companies and government agencies.?
Guruprasad Mohapatra, Municipal Commissioner, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was appreciative of the Show?s networking opportunities. He said, ?The participants in the Show are all from various stakeholder interest groups, so they are more focussed, and not just a general audience. There are good networking opportunities at this Show. This is one good platform to meet for policy makers like us, exhibitors and for those who want to buy specific products or technology services. I saw a lot of new IT-based solutions for toll, traffic and related areas.?
Chandramauli Shukla, CEO, Bhopal City Link Ltd and Additional Commissioner, Bhopal Municipal Corporation rated the Show as one of the best for the value it offered policy makers. ?The seminars at the Show were very well organised. There were very good speakers. Besides the seminars, the exhibition was very good, well coordinated, all the arrangements were fabulous. This Expo is undoubtedly one of the best of the kind I have seen. It is definitely useful for policy makers including myself because at the city level you do not really have what all is available in the market. Coming to a Show like this always helps cities and Special Purpose Vehicles to really decide what is to be done.?
Taj Hassan, Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Delhi Police praised the organizers for putting up an informative show: ?The seminars at the Show offered a platform for interaction and knowledge sharing between various stakeholders. I saw diverse national and international product companies exhibiting at the Show and the products are quite relevant to traffic professionals like me. For example, the automated crane for towing away vehicles displayed at the show was an interesting system useful in current traffic scenario of metro cities.?
Amit Garg, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad felt that the Expo showcased traffic solutions for diverse problems that would have been difficult otherwise for a decision maker such as him to be aware of. ?I congratulate the TrafficInfraTech magazine team for putting up such a wonderful Show with the seminars and exhibition. It was really an enriching experience. I feel the best part of the Show is that you are bringing all the vendors under one roof. You can go around the exhibition and get to see what all products and systems are available globally, not just from all over India, a lot of exhibitors from across the world had put up stalls. So we know exactly where we stand in terms of technology and solutions. The traffic scene has a lot of challenges for everybody, whether they are the law enforcement agencies, traffic planners, municipal corporations or road transport authorities. Your magazine will go a long way as it has brought all these under one roof. Personally I saw a lot of very useful and relevant IT solutions at the Show. Otherwise, sitting in my office in Hyderabad I would not have known what is going on in these areas. The presentations at the seminar again were very good. The seminars were very comprehensive with good quality presentations and interactive too. They explained the challenges in various areas of traffic, the solutions for these challenges and how to implement these solutions. Personally it has helped me find the right kind of safety products for Hyderabad.?
Amit Kumar Jain, Deputy General Manager (Train Operations), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation was very happy that he could find an exhibitor displaying precisely the product that he was looking for the Delhi Metro, ?TrafficInfraTech Expo is a good effort and I think we should keep on having these shows. The shows will bring an awareness of traffic issues to all the stakeholders concerned. Here at the Show we can meet industry people and learn about the latest technologies, and let them know our ideas and what we want. At the Expo, I was looking for a particular product. One of the vedors told me that his company was already working on this product, and he could come back to me on this when it was ready. Also, this Show is very important because it makes policy makers aware of the latest technologies in the market so that they can use these technologies to make the specifications, norms and standards of systems they need for new projects. I was able to find under one roof all the products, vendors and system providers we needed for DMRC.?

Vikram Datta & Rajesh Grover, IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd said, ?We are road concessionaires under the National Highways Development Programme. We came to the Show to find solutions for a few traffic related issues. There were a lot of good products being displayed? cameras, sensors etc. Overall it was a very helpful Show for us. TrafficInfraTech is a very good platform for the government bodies and private players in the transportation industry to come together. The seminars on best practices in traffic management and parking have been very good.?
Another visitor Jospeh Domez, CEO, Delhi Airport Parking Services (P) Ltd said, ?I have been a visitor to the previous editions of TrafficInfraTech Expo too. Every time I have found the event to be useful as it gives me an opportunity to explore new technologies and products under one roof. This time, my entire technical team is with me to see the products on display and verify how they can be useful to us in our operations.?
Puneet Kumar Vats, Chief Engineer (Projects), DDA said, ?I came to the Show particularly to see the noise barriers on display and in the course of that, I visited other road safety stalls too. The problem with the existing road barriers in Delhi is that they start to deteriorate after about two years, whereas I found the noise barriers on display here to be more durable and of better quality.?
RK Gupta, Project Manager (Master Plan – Roads), DDA said, ?There were a lot of good products on display at the Show. I am mainly handling ROBs and flyovers for DDA. I was interested in road safety products and personnel safety products in my visit to the Show and I found many of them at the Show. If we could have some cost effective versions, then they would be definitely do well in the Indian market.?
Bhure Lal, former Chairman, FCI and Chairman, Environment Pollution Prevention & Control Authority felt that ideas generated from the Show should be implemented, ?Exchange of ideas is good but they must be implemented. Implementation is lacking, this must be our watchword. This Show creates awareness of the latest products, solutions on one hand and on the other hand, it brings forward the issues of concern to all the stakeholders and puts on the table many possible solutions.?
Prashant Bachu, Project Manager, Urban Transport, Embarq India and a presenter at the seminar on BRTS was thankful for the opportunity the Show provided to interact with decision makers, policy makers and planners, ?This is a very useful forum where important players from various fields related to the traffic industry can meet and get to know what is happening in different places and also the experiences of others. Here we find all the important vendors with the latest technology and products, that give us important information to build into our future plans and that is quite phenomenal. In our projects, we don?t get such an opportunity to interact with decision makers, policy makers, planners etc all at one place. This Show also provides a very important opportunity to communicate the feedback from the ground level to the policy makers and vice versa.?
