Analysing the Risk Exposure at Mumbai Suburban Rail

A Right To Information (RTI) query has recently revealed that 20,000 people died on Mumbai’s railway tracks in the past five years. That means over 4000 people per year and, on an average, 10 people per day. The issue has managed to raise eyebrows at the World Bank which is funding Mumbai Urban Infrastructure Project (MUIP).
