Rahul Asthana to be on MERC

Rahul Asthana, Commissioner, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRD), has been appointed as a member of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) from March onwards. Asthana, who retires as MMRDA Commissioner on February 28, has been selected from a pool of about 114 retired officers such as joint secretaries of the state government and other candidates who had applied for the post.
