Mahindra introduces smartphone application

Auto maker Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced Blue Sense, a new android based application for its XUV/500. The application will allow drivers to control the vehicle?s infotainment system, besides being able to view information such as climate control temperature, the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), fuel consumption, besides issuing warnings of an open door or low fuel. The phones can be paired to the infotainment system through Bluetooth. Besides being introduced in new XuV/500 vehicles, Blue Sense will also be offered to about 41,000 existing owners of the vehicle. Users who have an older version of the infotainment system have to upgrade to version 04.04.00 at a Mahindra dealership.
