High speed WIM from Essae is designed to meet the methodology & workflow of overweight detection on highways (for Indian conditions) compatible for technologies like MLFF (Multi-lane free flow) and OBU (On-Board Unit with GNSS). High-Speed Weigh-In-Motion (HS-WIM) systems offer a transformative solution for enforcing vehicle weight limits without disrupting traffic flow. HS-WIM systems can capture and record axle weights, gross vehicle weight, speed, and vehicle classification as vehicles move at highway speeds—typically between 30 to 120 km/h. HS-WIM enables real-time weight monitoring, allowing authorities to penalize violators without manual checks. The advantages of HS-WIM include non intrusive enforcement, and increased road lifespan.

Main Features of Essae HS-WIM
- High speed sensor to capture 0 to 120 KMPH of all vehicles (eg: loaded Trucks carrying 100t load);
- Data logger/Indicator/Application software to capture speed;
- Loop system to identify incoming vehicle and trigger to HSWIM.
- HSWIM shall capture vehicle details (weight/speed/axle count/vehicle distance/axle speed and time stamp);
- The solution shall have in-built memory to record transactions for retrieving at later stage.
- Designed to integrate to camera system for vehicle number plate capturing and axle classification.
- HSWIM shall be capable of sending notifications (alert message) to user interface application where truck has violated over-load conditions (rule setting option to be available);
- Anomaly alert for lane violation (eg: only partial axle has entered strip and other axle passed on lane-2 strip); Option in software to cancel such entries;
- Login access with multi-level OTP-based security (Eg: Admin/Manager/Operator/Service Engineer etc)
