Boom Barrier

Qik Boom Barrier from Gandhi Automation has soft edges, rounded corners, and is suitable for any installation environment. It can be used for access control of medium to high transit environments which require access control of car parking areas and restricting their use to authorised personnel. Examples include hotels, banks, shopping malls, toll collection plazas, industrial entrances as well as blocks of flats, companies and camp sites. Qik is available for boom lengths up to 8.4m, with a provision of covering lengths up to 16.8m with two barriers operating in a master-slave combination. It has a sturdy steel structure with scratch-proof coating which is resistant to harsh weather conditions. It has a manual release in case of power failure with a battery backup facility in select models. The gear motor is mounted at right angle to the barrier exit to avoid the use of a lever system and to leave more space available for the control unit. The24 V version with encoder and limit switch allows slowdowns and speed control. The provision for installing photocell allows it to run on solar power too. It has an electrically operated vandal-proof lock for increased security.
