Technology, innovations and improvements in technology offering
India’s diverse climatic conditions present unique challenges. From scorching summer temperatures approaching 50 degrees Celsius to frigid winter conditions in the northern regions, our solutions are engineered to perform reliably in these extremes. We have developed hardware specifically designed to withstand such variances, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery regardless of environmental factors. This commitment to resilience and adaptability is central to our innovation strategy, allowing us to meet the rigorous demands of the Indian market.
Implementation challenges
Yes, there are significant challenges in implementation. A predominant issue in India is the tendency to prioritize cost over quality, often leading to the selection of the lowest-priced devices. Unfortunately, many of these low-cost options only meet specifications on paper, resulting in project failures when deployed. Additionally, lengthy delays from tendering to actual implementation can lead to unforeseen cost escalations. This often compels contractors to resort to cheaper alternatives, ultimately compromising the quality of service provided. Addressing these challenges requires a shift in focus towards value-based procurement and long-term reliability.
New systems/technology in the offing:
Dynalog India is investing in cutting-edge technologies to stay ahead in the smart city and data-driven governance space, particularly in surveillance, traffic management, and urban connectivity. Some of the technologies invested in include Next-Gen Industrial Ethernet Infrastructure, rugged and robust edge-level GPU-based controller and 5G-based industrial cellular gateways.
With increasing cyber threats, Dynalog is integrating cybersecurity certification into its ethernet infrastructure to ensure secure data transmission in networks. These switches will support the power needs of modern, high-demand cameras and other devices especially in video surveillance, providing up to 90 watts of power. Ensuring safety from power surges and electromagnetic interference, these switches are built to withstand harsh electrical environments, making them ideal for large-scale deployments.
To enhance smart city applications like traffic monitoring and incident detection, Dynalog is developing fan-less GPU-based edge controllers that can process AI-driven video analytics, reducing latency. These controllers, built for extreme temperatures, will offer reliable, redundant storage, ensuring data integrity and system uptime, which are crucial for real-time applications like surveillance.
Dynalog is also developing 5G-based rugged cellular gateways to ensure fast, reliable and secure remote connectivity for smart city applications, enabling real-time data transmission and control over long distances. These gateways will be designed for rugged conditions, making them suitable for challenging outdoor environments where consistent connectivity is crucial.
