3M introduces new tape in US market

3M?s Automotive Aftermarket division has introduced a new tape masking solution in the US market. The new Precision Masking Tape is made out an ultra-thin smooth paper backing which helps to produce sharp paint lines on roads and other surfaces. The adhesive used in the tape makes the tape highly UV resistant compared to other masking tapes. The smooth backing and even adhesion allows freshly painted surfaces to be taped over quicker with less chance of imprint damage, resulting in better paint results and increased productivity for painters. The tape gives precise colour separation on moulded bumper blackout operations while its semi-transparent backing provides better visibility for nameplate and door handle masking applications.
