Laser Technology Inc (LTI) recently hosted its annual International Traffic Safety Dealer Conference at its world headquarters in Centennial, Colorado, USA. LTI manufactures laser-based products used in law enforcement and other industries around the world. Forty five international guests representing dealerships from thirty countries attended the three-day conference.
Representing LTI?s products in India, Iqbal Singh Jagdeva, Managing Director and Jagpal Singh Jagdeva, Director (Operations) of Turbo Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd in New Delhi, attended the conference and received a prestigious award from LTI for generating top sales in 2012. The custom glass awards are works of art meant to represent LTI?s appreciation for the hard work and dedication of dealers throughout the world.
Participants shared rich sales training content and practical product demonstrations. Laser Technology?s founder and current Chief Executive Officer, David Williams, pointed out the pitfalls and challenges the company had to overcome to be successful.
LTI?s traffic safety products has made a positive impact in reducing traffic fatalities all over the world.
The conference consisted of indoor presentations, outdoor field demonstrations and breakout brainstorm sessions where dealers had a chance to share ideas. Guests enjoyed a tour of LTI?s brand new, state-of-the-art facility with improved product testing areas and six custom engineering laboratories. LTI?s engineering department also provided a sneak peek into future product development projects. Customer profiles of users of LTI products such as crash scene investigators, traffic enforcement officers as well as traffic engineers were also presented.
The guest speakers included Tomasz Rzeszutek from Safety Camera Systems in Warsaw, Poland, Iqbal Singh Jagdeva from Turbo Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd and Phil Lack from Melbourne, Australia. They represent LTI?s top performing authorised dealers who have established long-term relationships with the company. Each speaker shared how they got started selling LTI equipment and the steps they took to overcome challenges and future projects.
Founded in 1986, LTI began by creating lasers for the US government that measured distances between planes for in-flight de-icing testing. Next, LTI built a custom proximity and velocity laser for NASA for space docking missions. LTI also partnered with Bushnell Optics to deliver the first low-cost recreational rangefinder for golfing and hunting. They then revolutionised traffic enforcement with the introduction of the very first laser speed gun that could pinpoint an individual vehicle in dense traffic while remaining unaffected by radar detectors.
