TrafficInfraTech Expo 2013 -Business,Knowledge Sharing,Networking

P. Ravikumar, Joint Director-ITNS, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), was appreciative of all the aspects of the Show ? the products, the quality of exhibitors and the networking opportunities, ?We are basically suppliers of technology. I have been associated with TrafficInfraTech Expo and Virtual Info Systems, since last 3-4 years. I make it a point to attend each edition of this Show and exhibition because I find it a very good platform for networking with people, potential users and customers. The Show and exhibition are always of international standards and attract a very focussed community of visitors, people who are looking for technologies and solutions. The seminars were very good. I was a presenter at the ITS seminar and found that all the speakers were highly learned and well informed in ITS. ITS is a new, emerging field in India and everybody talks about it. It is a very large domain and sector with a lot of scope for new entrepreneurs to start their business in this field, and I believe you are doing a wonderful thing by supporting this sector. The exhibitors at the Show were also good. It is really commendable that a lot of government agencies, departments, traffic police, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and other policy makers visited the Show and they all got an exposure to the latest innovative products and solutions in the field.?

Ron Phillips, Director, Applied Concepts / Stalker Radar, New Zealand said, ?Stalker Radar makes basically speed detection equipment, used mainly for detecting number plates, hand held equipment for placing and other car parking equipment. The response to our products was good and we got a lot of visitors, so much so that sometimes we did not have enough breathing space. We also had a lot of officials coming in from the traffic police who are our important customers. They came back to visit on the second day also, which was a positive sign. Like all trade shows, the visitors don?t covert into clients immediately. Just a few days ago, we had an order from a person who had visited us at the Mumbai edition of the Show. I have been to other Shows where there were absolutely no visitors on the second and third days, but this one was much better.?

V. Eshwaran, Managing Director, Hill & Smith Infrastructure Products India Pvt Ltd was happy with the opportunities the Show offered to make traffic authorities aware of the latest technology and products. ?We are a fully owned, 100% subsidiary of Hill and Smith Holding PLC, UK, established about three years ago. We are primarily into road safety products and one of the products which we introduced in the market is the wire-rope safety barrier. A show such as TrafficInfraTech Expo gives us the opportunity to make important decision makers and others aware about our products and technology. All the authorities and consultants at the Show were very positive and received our products very well. We got a few very good enquires at the Show to work on.?

Sanjiv Taneja, CEO, Integra Design found the Show useful in getting targeted visitors and potential partners for his business. ?This is the second time we participated in TrafficInfraTech Expo. We found, both in Mumbai last year and here in Delhi, visitors who are important to us. We also got an opportunity to see which way the trade was moving and also the associated line of business. We were able to meet some potential partners in the reseller segment who were interested to work with us. The fourth edition of the Show is happening at the same venue, so we hope to be there as well and keep showcasing our work and products.?

Anuresh Sharma, COO, Highway Traffic Management System Division, Arya Omnitalk Wireless Solutions Pvt. Ltd was happy to get the right kind of visitors. ?The response we got at the Show was good. We got many visitors from the traffic police and from the army also. They were quite keen on the Highway Traffic Management System while others were interested in the SOS phones and emergency call boxes. We had participated in the earlier edition of the Show at Mumbai and this was our second time. The arrangements have been good and the organizers have been very co-operative. For a niche market, the footfalls we got was quite reasonable. The organizers ensured that the right audience was bought to the right exhibitor and I must commend them for that.?

Chetan Patel, Managing Director, Techsture Technologies was very happy with the visitors he got at the Show. ?We are into highway and traffic management systems, toll collection systems, electronic parking systems etc. This was the first time we exhibited at TrafficInfraTech Expo and we got a fantastic response. There have been a number of enquires; overall I would say a very good show. Among the prominent visitors we got were the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Delhi and Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner. Both of them expressed keen interest in our products. There were also visitors from IIT and other major companies such as Reliance Infrastructure, L&T and GMR who appreciated the products we displayed, So overall this has been a very satisfactory exhibition for us.?

Ganesh Pandey, Branch Manager, Frontier Polymers Pvt Ltd said, ?Frontier Polymers is engaged in manufacturing road safety products since 2001. We have a wide range of clients such as L&T, IL&FS and Delhi Police and GP group. We had good interaction with some government officers, good visitors from the private sector and some resellers who wanted to get products from us to resell in their region. Overall the Show has been good with nice arrangements and good quality visitors, but it would be good if we got some more visitors.?

Rahul Saini, Managing Director, BDI Group felt that every visitor that came was useful for the company, ?We are into road safety products since thirty years now and we have entire range of road barricades and all accessories such as traffic cones and road studs. This is the third time that we have exhibited at the TrafficInfraTech Expo. Shows such as this help generate awareness of our products. The response to our products was good, as always. TrafficInfraTech is always very focussed and there was no footfall that was not useful to us. The Union Minister Oscar Fernandes liked our light barrier and said that it is very useful for Indian highways and it should be used widely. Such support from the government certainly helps.?

Jevit Vasisht, Business Development (ITS), FLIR Intelligent Transportation Systems said, ?We are a company dealing with detection technologies ? detection of vehicles, traffic behaviours, pedestrians and automatic traffic incident detection. We use smart video analytics to capture events like vehicles going the wrong way, stopped vehicles, over-speeding, going too slow, smoke detection etc. We have been associated with TrafficInfraTech magazine for a long time. This is the second time we have exhibited at the Show, the first time being in Mumbai. We got a pretty good response to our systems. The Show acts as a very valuable platform for exchange of knowledge and ideas on modern technologies. Many of the exhibitors had exciting new technologies which are very good for the concessionaries as well as for the government departments. Plus the Show provides a very good opportunity to network and build our business contacts.?

Cho Joonyeoun, Overseas Sales Dept, Samjung Steel Co. Ltd, Korea said, ?Our company manufactures noise barriers and we have branches in Malaysia and Singapore too. We came here to launch our noise barriers in the Indian market.

?This is our first visit to India and we wanted to explore getting some partners and distributors for our products in India. We were able to meet many prospective partners who were interested. We hope we can convert some of them. There is so much heavy traffic on Indian roads and so much noise that I think that these noise barriers are needed.?

Ashim A Patil, Managing Director & CEO, Infotek Software & Systems (P) Ltd said, ?We displayed RFID readers, RFID antennas, RFID controllers for ETC. RFID Long Range Reader (LRU 1002) from Feig Electronic GmbH specially designed for vehicle identification was launched at the Show.

The show has been very well organised. We got to meet a lot of prospective buyers for our system. It was certainly useful for networking with prospects. We could get a few serious enquiries from the visitors who are interested in our products. The seminars were very useful and informative too.?

Hemant Agarwal, Sr. Director, Display Solutions Business Unit, Delta India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. ?We displayed our state-of-the-art Video wall Solutions ? DLP Video wall and LCD Video wall which are best suited for the Traffic Industry. With the help of Video wall solutions, we showcased how we can monitor road, rail and air traffic.

TrafficInfraTech Expo is a very niche show with quality visitors related to traffic industry. The show was attended by learned and significant people who represented different verticals of traffic ? end users, resellers, policy makers and service providers. Besides the visitors, we had a lot of productive interactions and information sharing sessions with the exhibitors. Participating in the Show was a great platform for us to learn more about the current scenario of the traffic industry and displaying our product as a solution to traffic problems. We got a chance to talk about our recent installation at Bangalore traffic management center where we have installed a 83 x 11 ft Video wall to help Bangalore traffic police manage traffic woes in the city.

The visitors at the show were aware of Delta being the leader in providing displays for control room solutions in various industries. We got a positive response from various state traffic departments who visited the show and were keen in modernization of traffic management scenario in their respective states. ?

Vijay Ganesh, Senior Manager ? Technical, Tollman India Pvt Ltd was glad to have his existing and prospective clients visiting the company?s stall and the demo area, ?The main products we displayed at the Show were Weight Based Tolling Solutions – Static Weigh Bridges, Weigh In Motion System, Portable Weighpads and Unmanned Intelligent Systems. We launched a new product at the Show ? Unmanned Traffic Auditing System. We had a wonderful experience at the Show. We had installed a replica of weigh in motion detector for traffic lanes used in toll plazas in the demo area. Lastly, we had a good interactive session with the Minister Oscar Fernandes and an opportunity to apprise him about our systems.?
