Technology in Magnetic Autocontrol Barriers

Motors play a very important role in barriers with heavy movement related activity; in fact they are the heart of barriers. Magnetic Autocontrol has developed a special Direct Drive motor, initially for the pedestrian barriers called MHTM (Magnetic High Torque Motor). With superior winding, robust and reliable brushless drive technology, with absolutely no wear and tear components, combined with a Resolver for position sensing, makes it an unmatched technology offered to customers. The design lifetime of the drives is at least 30 million cycles or 10 years. In the Vehicle Barrier Segment, the torque motor constantly produces heat and this protects the motor from defects arising due to condensation that is normally associated with motors. This makes the magnetic equipment driven by the torque motors function normally in all climatic conditions. These motors also consume very less power. Magnetic offers products with 100% duty cycle and MTBF of 10 million. This results in its customers deriving greater value from the lower total cost of ownership and maintenance free operations.

Recently, Magnetic Autocontrol India moved to a new office in Chennai to train its customers. It is enhancing its customer support as well as technical teams. The company has just finished the execution of the one of largest Automatic Barrier orders in India from a well-known developer for its multiple city project.

Arno Steiner has taken over the responsibility as Managing Director of Magnetic Schopfheim and Business Unit Manager Access Control. Braunwalder stays within FAAC Group acting as a consultant.

Magnetic Autocontrol is the market leader for vehicle barriers for toll applications, pedestrian control, vehicular access for commercial application, fare collection, emigration and passport control.
