Noise Barriers

Mixed Panel Noise Barriers form Metalmeccanica Fracasso India Pvt Ltd consist of panels made of a mix of both opaque and transparent material. They have excellent noise absorption and insulation properties, and also provide the minimum transparency as required by civil habitation and road commuters. They work very well even on roads with dense vehicular traffic. Opaque Panels Noise Barriers use a mix of various materials. The outside panels are made of aluminium or steel, with perforations on one side or both sides, as per acoustic design requirements. The noise absorbing or deadening material is either water repellent mineral wool or polyester fibre having minimum 0.95 noise absorption coefficient. The absorption panels have special featured panels which act as noise diffraction panels and help in overall improvement of the Insertion loss (IL). Transparent Panel Noise Barriers are made of Poly Methyl Methacrylite (PMMA) or Poly Carbonate (PC) as per the acoustic design. PMMA is generally preferred due to its excellent anti-yellow properties. Besides having excellent sound insulation properties, the panels are highly transparent. Noise Barriers installed by Fracasso in India follow guidelines issued by the Ministry of Environment & Forests. In absence of specific standards in India, the noise barriers are manufactured to comply with stringent EN 1793 and EN 1794 European standards.
