Alstom’s electric engines for Indian Railways

French company Alstom has received a three billion euro contract from Indian Railways to supply 800 electric locomotives with a long-term associated maintenance.This project includes the set-up of a plant at Madhepura (Bihar) and two maintenance depots at Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) and Nagpur (Maharashtra). It further said that the delivery of the locomotives will spread between 2018 and 2028.
