Intertraffic Amsterdam once again proved that it is the global platform for the mobility ecosystem with focus on smart, safe, and sustainable mobility for all. With a vastly extended summit programme and very large show floor, the event brought together nearly 30,000 visitors from 143 countries. According to Joyce de Winter, Director, Intertraffic of RAI Amsterdam, the show is at the forefront of mobility innovation. There has been a rise in the attendance of road authorities and policy makers of cities coming from across the world. From smart infrastructure to predictive maintenance, the expo focused on a more connected & efficient future and optimization of transportation networks.

The Visible Trends:

The expo pointed towards collaborative approaches to ensure sustainable, resilient, and inclusive mobility for future generations. Some of the areas that made strong presence were Climate resilience, AI, IoT, Interoperable solutions, seamless parking experience, sustainable transport, shift to digitalisation improving road safety with AI, and smart enforcement & detection solutions.

ITSUP and Awards:

Intertraffic’s integrated startup event ITSUP, powered by Swarco, allowed starting companies to present their smart mobility solutions. The challenge prepared by the sponsor was around sustainability and road safety. It was interesting to see that two of the winners had noise reduction as the theme. Italian company See won the Green Globe Award for its highly innovative ‘Sealed Air Whisper NB-Eco-40-A3’ acoustic panels, and UK-based Intelligent Instruments won for its ‘Sound Vue’ noise-enforcement camera system in the User Experience category. The Inspiration Award was won by British company Valerann with its advanced real-time data analytics platform ‘Lanternn by Valerann’.
