Better retiring rooms at Delhi railway station

The Railways has decided to modernise the retiring rooms at the Delhi railway stations to improve facilities. The maintenance of retiring rooms at both New Delhi and Old Delhi stations will be outsourced to private contractors. The New Delhi station retiring room has 22 rooms while the Old Delhi station has 11. The contractors will provide housekeeping facilities in addition to catering facilities such as room service. The retiring rooms will also have TV sets. An option of booking retiring rooms online will also be provided in course of time. Passengers can stay at the retiring rooms for a maximum of three days.
