AI-based cameras on the Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway

Tecsidel India Pvt Ltd has installed  AI-based cameras  on the Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway  to enhance traffic management and road safety.  The key points:

Traffic Monitoring: The AI cameras monitor real-time traffic conditions, helping manage congestion and ensuring smooth traffic flow. Most importantly, the cameras will be integrated  for GNSS for GNSS validation.

Violation Detection: The cameras can automatically detect traffic violations such as speeding, red light jumping, lane discipline, and unauthorized parking. They capture high-resolution images and videos of vehicles with violations  like, Over speeding/ Instant Speed/Average Speed, Wrong Lane Driving,  No Seatbelt, No helmet and triple riding  in two wheelers.  The cameras also detect poor visibility, pedestrian crossing,   and animals on the carriage way.

Accident Prevention: By monitoring driver behaviour and vehicle movement, AI cameras can help in predicting and preventing potential accidents. They alert authorities about hazardous conditions or reckless driving.

Data Collection and Analysis: The cameras collect vast amounts of data, which can be analysed to improve traffic planning and infrastructure development. The data helps in identifying accident-prone areas and making informed decisions on road safety measures.

ANPR: All cameras are equipped with Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems, aiding in the identification of vehicles.

Enhanced Enforcement: The system supports law enforcement by providing evidence of violations, which can be used to issue fines and penalties efficiently.

Radars: 4D Radars are well equipped to get the speed in any manner and display over the Gantry as warning.

NIC Integration: NIC integration typically refers to the process of incorporating a Network Interface Card (NIC) into a computer system or network environment. This can mean a few different things depending on the context:

Hardware Integration:

  • Onboard NICs: Modern motherboards often come with integrated NICs, which means the network interface card is built directly into the motherboard. This saves space and can be more cost-effective compared to using separate, standalone NICs.
  • Installation of Additional NICs: In some cases, additional NICs are installed into a computer or server to provide extra network interfaces. This can be done by inserting PCIe NIC cards into available slots on the motherboard.

Software Integration:

  • Driver Installation: For a NIC to function correctly, appropriate drivers must be installed. These drivers enable the operating system to communicate with the hardware.
  • Network Configuration: After installing a NIC, configured doing within the operating system. This includes setting up IP addresses, subnet masks, gateways, and DNS servers.
  • Integration with Network Management Tools: NICs may need to be integrated with network management and monitoring tools to ensure they are functioning properly and to track network performance and usage.

Advanced Networking Features:

  • VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks): NICs can be configured to support VLANs, which segment network traffic for better management and security.
  • QoS (Quality of Service): Tecsidel support performance for critical applications at Site.

Overall, NIC integration involves both the physical installation of network interface cards and the appropriate configuration within the software to ensure optimal network performance and connectivity.

Power Redundancy: Apart from Power, there is provision for  24 Hour backup for redundancy at Plazas.

Monitoring and Management: Live Monitoring 0ver the High-resolution Video wall (75-inch X 9-unit VW).
