Sensing for Safety
Smart roads will likely shape the mobility of the future. Smart roads
will rely on a successful interaction between smart vehicles and smart
infrastructure. Vehicles are becoming more and more important actors in
the current scenario, providing new challenging applications, from safety
to traffic management and infotainment. In this challenging scenario, it
is expected that accurate traffic and road monitoring, through innovative
sensor networks, will play a key role in the deployment of innovative roads.
